Light painting effect from a phone camera
I was down at the Brewery Tap last night watching Groove Cartel and one of their guitarists was using a guitar custom built by Vanquish Guitars, who I'm currently working quite close with in building my own. I tried to get some pictures using my iPhone but the lighting was to dull to get any good shots, they were all just a blurry mess. As I took a second look at the pictures, they were outputting some results like peoples light painting shots.
As the phones lens seemed to be open for at least a few seconds when taking the pictures, I could jiggle it around to distort all the stage lighting.
Check out some of the results below, some are good, others not so but It was great fun experimenting with the camera by waving it in different shapes - even though I did look a bit of a wally.

Neat trick Ben, I gave it a try and produced some nice results on the old iPhone!

I love your pics. These type of pics work really well with an SLR camera at night time too. Any place like a night club, or somewhere where there is xmas lights, just swing the camera while your taking the photo and you’ve got a work of art.
